Town with 8,062 inhabitants 33 km east of Baja. There are several significant buildings, like the House of Collections, the Mihály Vörösmarty Municipal Library, the Catholic church and the parish and the Ulrich-Csauscher mansion, in Hősök tere, in the centre of the town. The work of sculptor György Fusz, made in commemoration of the tragedy of all European nations driven away from their motherland, was erected in the church park in 1997.
